Château Red Intense is a specialty malt that imparts a vibrant red hue to ales and lagers while delivering
exceptionally rich malt flavours and aromas, without the use of colouring agents.
Characteristics:
Château Red Intense has sufficient diastatic power to be used for up to 100% of the grain bill, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of beer styles.
It imparts strong malty flavours and a full body, enhancing both mouthfeel and complexity. The malt’s narrow and consistent colour range (34-38 EBC), along with its low turbidity, ensures a clear, reddish appearance in the final beer. This malt is ideal for achieving a deep red colour without affecting the balance of the beer. When used without other malts, the recommended initial density of the non-boiled wort should be between 12°P and 16°P to obtain an intense reddish tone.
