Rib Cage Immersion Copper Chiller (Large Full Coil)

The immersion chiller is rolled and formed out of a full 15m length of 3/8” copper tube. The “rib cage” design facilitates a weld-less construction with a contact surface of ±0.45 square meters. This results in rapid cooling which aids in a clear beer and prevents off-flavours from forming due to slow cooling.
Tests have shown a cooling rate from 102°C to below 25°C in 9 minutes using 14°C municipal water.
At the end of the boil, it is important to cool the wort quickly. While it is still hot, (above 140°F) bacteria and wild yeasts are inhibited.
